On the off chance I put out a few bottle traps last night.

This morning got a large female in one trap!!

They are moving folks

The pond is a cattle trough

If you have a survey licence fro NE and you  are expereinced yes!

If not you risk breaking the law and killing the newts,,,, not good

Just got in from a neighbour's house/pond. 20+ GCN evident, egg laying already underway. Palmate and Smooth present in good numbers too. Surrey.

Found my first female GCN laying eggs in a pond in Basingstoke on 26th Feb.
